Weyermann Web Development is my independent practice. I plan, design, build, and support websites and web applications for businesses that want something clear, fast, and dependable.
Much of my career has been spent on software people use every day. At the Alberta Motor Association I developed and maintained fourteen Ruby on Rails applications serving roughly a million members — from insurance quotes and vehicle registration to Road Reports and driver education — and helped run them on AWS, including on-call support.
Since 2020 I have worked on the Alberta Digital Service Platform (ADSP), the Government of Alberta’s multi-tenant platform of shared services that product teams build on. Alongside that, I have worked directly with clients on projects ranging from an Electron desktop application for commission calculations to a React Native social app built on a serverless AWS backend.
The common thread is simple: understand the problem properly, choose sensible technology, and ship something that is easy to maintain. I also write occasionally about the practical side of building for the web.

Develop and maintain ADSP, the Government of Alberta’s secure, multi-tenant platform of shared services — access, forms, files, events, notifications, PDF generation, and more — and the tenant-management app that service teams use to add and configure them, working in TypeScript, React, Node.js, and Nx.

Client projects including Polycade — the on-screen interface for its arcade machines, with QR-code sign-in, player accounts, paginated game menus, Wi-Fi controls, and revenue reporting; Commission Ace — agent and broker disbursement calculations for an Electron, React, and MongoDB desktop app; FaceRate — a React Native app with authentication, live chat, photo feeds, notifications, and leaderboards on AWS Amplify; and a short development contract with Bidmii, a home-renovation marketplace.

Developed and maintained fourteen Ruby on Rails applications for roughly a million members, built a React Native app with a serverless AWS backend and a React shopping cart, maintained an OAuth2 authentication provider, deployed on AWS with Ansible, and took part in code review, CI/CD, and 24/7 on-call support.
